Pocket Change: 06/16/08

Though these things should be taken with a grain of internet comment salt, I thought I’d share a comment left on one of my older reviews of a product (BriteOn AC Laptop Power Adapter) that I should probably rate even lower in hindsight:

Dear Customers, we are very disappointed to hear of these problems. We are here for you to service the product. Products ordered from JacobsParts have a one year warranty. In cases like this we upgrade you to a higher watt adapter which will run cooler. Our adapters are tested at their rated load, but sometimes computers will draw a bit more. We have switched to a new factory, so these problems should be a thing of the past. We appreciate your business and want you to know that weâ€™re here for you.
