Review: I know I said that the bottle of balsamic vinegar I bought a couple of weeks ago would meet all of my needs, but I needed something a little weaker to cook with. Rice vinegar is one of the mildest vinegars I have tasted. It is perfect for adding a subtle bite to a complex dish rather than overpowering and influencing the taste of it. While I wouldn’t use this vinegar to dip my chips in, it works just fine in things like rice & beans and even some soups.

Most of the other rice vinegars that Nakano makes are seasoned with various flavors like garlic, basil and red pepper. These are great for salad dressings, but for cooking, Nakano’s natural rice vinegar is the way to go.
