Review: A couple of eggs (any style), crispy bacon and muenster cheese inside of a crispy fresh croissant served with a healthy portion of cubed and fried potatos garnished with oregano and basil. Bongo Room (formerly Room 12) does breakfast right. Most times when you get a croissant sandwich, the croissant tends to be spongy or flaky, falling apart at the slightest touch. With this sandwich, you can actually hold on to the croissant until the very last bite. The addition of muenster cheese is a stroke of genius, as you usually only find this cheese on roast beef or other red meat. Its slight bite and smooth aftertaste adds great flavor to an otherwise typical breakfast sandwich. Also, Bongo Room’s bacon is always crisp through and through, as if the folks in the kitchen spent hours picking away all of the fat. Finally, if the sandwich doesn’t fill you up, the potatoes will, leaving you leaning back in your chair, soaking up the hot sunlight that constantly streams through the restaurant’s windows.
