Consumer News and Links for Jan. 17th (Mid-Day Edition)

From the Anti-Piracy Piracy department:

The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) uses freeware source code on it’s ReportPiracy.org site, but doesn’t comply with the code’s stipulation of linking to the author’s website. This makes me feel not so bad about distributing the German skit I made in middle school with puppets to all of my friends without getting the other puppeteers’ permission. (Link via BoingBoing)
