Review: For some reason, the green peppers at Jewel are always as big as softballs. Most likely due to some kind of agro-chemical that causes babies to grow three eyes, but damn are they good! The outside of the peppers always look and feel like candle wax, but after a good rinsing, some of the stickiness washes away. Filled with enough seeds for the ambitious consumer to start their own pepper farm, after you clean these things out, the pepper is juicy and contains a strong flavor that bleeds a perfect accent into anything you cook them with. My favorite is to make a cheddar omelette with green pepper diced into the egg folds. I may do just that tomorrow morning if we don’t use the entire pepper in our salad tonight. And this thing is so big, I don’t see why we would need to.

5. Another easy step. Rinse the pepper and seed it. Cut half of the pepper into a few strips and whittle the strips into a size and shape of your liking (I prefer to just cut the strips in half, but you may want to dice them). Add pepper pieces to the mixing bowl with the other greens. Toss. Go on to the next step.
